How You Can Volunteer

The WJ foundation is still a new organization in need of your time and assistance.  We've planned an aggressive fundraising campaign that depends on our community not only for financial contributions but also for time and assistance.  We need volunteers to serve as directors and officers.  If your time doesn't permit a long-term involvement, we could use help with various projects.  If you can help, please contact Marney Jacobs or Tom Murphy.

Help Needed

The Foundation is looking for a volunteer to update Walter Johnson’s alumni database.  This database is presently maintained using FileMaker Pro but could be converted to Access.  This database is used to maintain a list of WJ alumni.   Approximately 15 updates are received monthly from alumni. If you can help with this, please contact Marney Jacobs.

New Board Members

The foundation is expanding its Board of Directors in the hope that this will enable it to be more active than it has been in supporting Walter Johnson.  In addition to helping with fundraising activities, the new board members will be called upon to set the goals and objectives for the organization and to consider the structure of the foundation.
