All proceeds of this event will go to support the Media Center Collections. We are thrilled to announce a WJ family has donated $30, 000 in the hopes of helping the school and faculty to continue providing such an excellent education and learning environment. We hope to match this incredible donation with the proceeds of the gala and donations throughout the year.

Fire 'N Dice Gala 2011 - The WJ Education Foundation is pleased to have partnered with the WJHS All School Booster Club and PTSA to hold a fabulous Gala and Casino Night at the BCC Rescue Squad on January 29th. "Fire 'N Dice" truly was a community event with parents, staff, administration, alumni spanning several decades, and former parents all coming together for an evening of fun. We thank all who attended, those teams/groups and individuals who made incredible donations-- that included an IPad, a two night stay at a Washington hotel, and wonderful baskets-- and those who helped in many ways. Prize winners were delighted with their winnings, everyone ate well, danced and listened to great music. We appreciate the group effort that made it such a successful event. Many people were involved in a number of ways and we want to thank all of the donors, set-up and clean-up crews, cashiers, and the '05 alumni who served as bartenders and at the game tables. Thank you to the following people who helped plan and implement a successful fundraiser for the school: Dr. Christopher Garran, Principal; Anat Schwartz, Gala Committee Chair (and her husband Howard); Sue Christakos, WJHS All School Booster Club President (and her husband Nick); Debbie Teicher, WJPTSA President (and her husband); Lin-Lin Mao, WJ Ed Foundation Webmaster; Mr. Christopher Kosmaceski and the WJ Jazz Band for wonderful live music; Peter and Rosalie Grazzini of Perfect Settings; Valerye Strochak and Jennie Fascenda for delicious deserts; Maria Botel for coordinating volunteers; Jo Brecher (and her husband Michael Peck); Ann Gradowski; Tom Murphy; Seth Meyers; Marney and Phil Jacobs. Thank you to those who contributed money and prizes to the Fire 'N Dice Gala.  » Fire 'N Dice Contributors

Spring Gala 2007 - The foundation’s first spring gala was a success as 148 participants attended the May 4, 2007 showing of Fiddler on the Roof in Walter Johnson’s newly renovated auditorium.  Before the show, the participants enjoyed tours of the new facility led by Dr. Garran and dinner catered by High Point Farm.  The gala raised over $6,500 towards the modernization of WJ.  Special thanks to Stacey Rose-Blass and Marilyn Bagel for co-chairing the evening and Tracey Harris for taking charge of the dinner.  THANK YOU to our Gala Sponsors!
