September 26, 2009 - Walter Johnson HS Education Foundation and WJ Poms provided water to runners at the Kensington 8k Race.  The Foundation is very appreciative to be identified as one of the recipients of money raised from the Kensington 8k.

As we plan future events, we need a core of volunteers other than the Board members. Please let us know if you’d like to help out occasionally with fundraisers, mailings, and other activities. Use our website to keep up with activities.

We are proud to have played a role in supporting WJ HS through the initial efforts of the WJ Ed Foundation. We appreciate the donations from many parents, alumni, two family foundations, the Kensington 8K Race, and several in honor of alumni Classes, including the Classes of 1958, 1969, 1997, and 1998. We look forward to involving more of our community through social functions, fundraising, and support of Walter Johnson High School.

The WJ foundation is still a new organization in need of your time and assistance.  We've planned an aggressive fundraising campaign that depends on our community not only for financial contributions but also for time and assistance.  We need volunteers to serve as directors and officers.  If your time doesn't permit a long-term involvement, we could use help with the various projects described above.  If you can help, please contact Marney Jacobs, Seth Meyers or Tom Murphy.
